Hillary Rising…

April 28, 2008

Things are really looking up for the comeback woman, Hillary Clinton. The latest CNN headline reads, “Poll says McCain should fear Clinton.” The poll shows that Clinton beats McCain by 9 points, but in an Obama McCain matchup, it’s a statistical tie. No wonder Karl Rove is dishing out the advice to Obama on how to beat Clinton…

Think the media isn’t sexist?

It’s undeniable. It’s disgusting. It’s shameful.

Seat Florida’s delegates!

March 7, 2008

Now that the seating of Florida’s delegates has come to the forefront in this election, it’s important to understand why the Florida election was legitimate as it stands. In that vein, I’m re-posting one of the first postings I wrote for this blog below. The reasons that Florida should have been considered a great victory for Hillary are the same reasons why the delegates must be seated.

Obama loses bigtime in Florida..

democrats_florida_primary.jpgOf course, he doesn’t want the public to believe that, and as usual, the mainstream media is more than willing to sing his tune.In his typical George W Bush style, Barack Obama has smugly Read the rest of this entry »

Obama, Wellstone a “gadfly.”

March 6, 2008

obama_3.jpgI watched with nausea as Obama spoke a while back in Minneapolis and praised and praised the popular former senator from Minnesota, Paul Wellstone, who unfortunately was killed several years ago in a plane crash.

I couldn’t help but think of David Sirota’s article about Obama in The Nation, Mr. Obama goes to Washington, in which Obama refers to Wellstone as a gadfly.  Gadfly is defined as; a persistent irritating critic; a nuisance.

In a similar vein and a must read is Harper’s Magazine’s, Barack Obama Inc.

Obama Kept Contributions From Accused Fixer’s Wife And Others

ABCNews.com Analysis Shows the Campaign Still Hasn’t Returned More Than $100,000 in Questionable Contributions

Obama knocked out…

March 6, 2008

obama-ec.jpgEd Morrisey writes;

Barack Obama could be excused for believing two weeks ago that he had nothing more than a flower-strewn path to the nomination. Women fainted in his presence, the media loved telling the story of the new Bobby Kennedy, and Hillary Clinton appeared to have all but conceded in her last debate. A funny thing happened on the way to Obama’s coronation, however Read the rest of this entry »

Obama’s Weaker Support With Democrats

March 4, 2008

hills.jpg400394507_a374d29cd5.jpgAccording to the latest Pew Center Poll;

Obama would lose one quarter of Hillary supporters in the general election. A quarter of Democrats (25%) who back Clinton for the nomination say they would favor McCain in a general election test against Obama. The “defection” rate among Obama’s supporters if Clinton wins the nomination is far lower; just 10% say they would vote for McCain in November, while 86% say they would back Clinton.

“Obamacans” – those Republicans who are supporting Obama — are outnumbered two-to-one by what we would have to call “McCainocrats.”  There goes Obama’s theory of winning the election by converting republicans.

Come on guys; I answered like eight questions. We’re running late.

March 4, 2008

barack_obama004-med.jpgThose were Obama’s words as he curtly walked out on a press conference earlier today, a sign of the continuing deterioration of the relationship between Obama and the press.  As the Rezko trial begins and more and more evidence mounts that Obama has been rather untruthful (shocking!) with the press about his relationship with Rezko.

From Obama’s best friend in the media MSNBC;

From NBC/NJ’s Aswini Anburajan
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Led by the Chicago press corps that has covered Obama for years, the candidate today faced a barrage of questions in what turned out to be a contentious news conference.

Despite Rhetoric, Obama Pushed Lobbyists’ Interests

March 4, 2008

ABC News: The Blotter

Despite Rhetoric, Obama Pushed Lobbyists’ Interests

Justin Rood Reports:

Despiterhetori_mn_2 Away from the bright lights and high-minded rhetoric of the campaign trail, Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., has quietly worked with corporate lobbyists to help pass breaks worth $12 million.

In his speeches, Obama has lambasted lobbyists and moneyed interests who “have turned our government into a game only they can afford to play.”

“It’s an entire culture in Washington — some of it legal, some of it not,” the Democratic hopeful told a New York crowd in June, rallying support for his ethics reform agenda.

But last year, at the request of a hired representative for an Australian-owned chemical corporation Nufarm, Obama introduced nine separate bills Read the rest of this entry »

Why Matt is against Obama…

February 29, 2008

mattgonz.gif

Matt Gonzalez is the former president of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, and is best known for nearly winning the San Francisco mayoral race as a Green party candidate. At a time when so many progressives have been duped by Obama’s false prophecy, Matt’s recent article is a breath of fresh air.

The Obama Craze: Count Me Out

by Matt Gonzalez, 2008-02-27

Part of me shares the enthusiasm for Barack Obama. After all, how could someone calling themself a progressive not sense the importance of what it means to have an African-American so close to the presidency? But as his campaign has unfolded, and I heard that we are not red states or blue states for the 6th or 7th time, I realized Read the rest of this entry »

Obama and Clinton ads both claim all Americans would be covered by their health plans. Clinton’s would come close from Factcheck.org

February 27, 2008

They’ve Got You Covered?

February 14, 2008

Updated: February 15, 2008

Obama and Clinton ads both claim all Americans would be covered by their health plans. Clinton’s would come close.

Summary

In television ads, Clinton’s campaign says her health care plan is the only one that will provide universal coverage, while Obama says his plan will cover all Americans, too. We find:

Gullible? Lazy? Just plain dumb? Any way you cut it…

February 26, 2008

komo_somalikenya.jpghillgarb.jpg
…the result is still the same.  For the second time (that I’m aware of) during this campaign, the Obama camp has expressed outrage at the Clinton camp’s purported spreading of supposedly damaging information and/or pictures, their source being Robert Novak in the first instance, and Matt drudge in the most recent flap. Now, any democrat that automatically assumes to be true, any claim made by either of these men, is, well, gullible, lazy, or just plain dumb.

Novak and Drudge are notorious right-wing Read the rest of this entry »

Not Everything is About Hillary Clinton…

February 23, 2008

This article by Taylor Marsh speaks for so many of us…

Delusion is catching. But obviously part of this is my fault.
